With children no longer at home, the client brief was to provide a dining/sitting room space with a bit of lux that fitted their want for a more "grown up" feel that also didn’t forgo the practicalities of comfortable everyday living.

There was a focus to lift the rooms personality, create mood and drama by injecting rich bold colours to counteract the lack of natural light present. This was achieved by introducing a combination of textures, such as velvet, linens and embroidery through upholstered seating and soft furnishings.  The custom ottoman with its buttoned detailing added a multi purpose function with a high-end touch. The strength of introduced black stained furniture supported the boldness of the introduced bright accents and the commissioned artwork by Annie Everingham tied all the colours together.
